Change; allow God to change you
What are we doing? Is it the same old, same old- or is it something different? There’s a quote out there: “the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again, but expecting a different result.” Is this you? Are you doing anything different these days- or are you in a rut?
God never calls us to a rut; He calls us to a transformed life:
“And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.”
2 Corinthians 3:18
But the key here is God. God is the missing ingredient if we desire or need change in our lives. It’s important to remember that life is change. You and I are changing from day to day. Don’t be afraid of it. The fact is, life is temporary; we cannot stop it from happening. It’s an illusion to think that we can control our worlds. We cannot. God is in control- and He’s quite capable of doing it.
“I believe God is managing affairs and that He doesn't need any advice from me. With God in charge, I believe everything will work out for the best in the end. So what is there to worry about.”
Henry Ford
So, where do we start with this challenging thing called change?
Baby steps. We need to get more comfortable with being uncomfortable with change- but don’t allow that discomfort to keep us from changing. And it’s not a perfect process, but it IS a process, over time, over life, nevertheless! Just where you are, right now, allow God. What does that mean? What fear does that speak to? Trust God with it.
And view change as the inevitable process in you, a process of going from glory to glory. You’re just in between glories right now.
Relax. You’re getting there. Don’t be afraid to change!
“So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.”
2 Corinthians 4:18

Thanksgiving Reality Check
Reposting this.
Being someone of Native American Ancestry myself, it's a painful reality check for today's celebration holiday. Yes, for a moment, let's give thanks for our blessings. But, in that same moment, let's remember those who paid with their tears and blood.
"Today America will celebrate another fake holiday by eating and drinking to excess while in the real world many are cold and hungry especially on some of our poorest reservations! Please take time to remember our less fortunate Native brothers and sisters at Crow Creek, Cheyenne River, Pine Ridge, Rosebud, The Dineh Rez, all the poor reservations in California and elsewhere throughtout Turtle Island (North America)...
What are you celebrating...GIVE THANKS EVERYDAY!"

Happy Thanksgiving!!!
Let’s take the cue from this little guy here.
Wherever we are, whatever we’re going through, let’s just pause for a moment and THANK GOD!!!!
God has been, is and will be so good to us. As we usher in the holiday season, get bombarded by celebration, food, stress and the infamous “holiday spirit,” let’s remember that God deserves our thanks- always!!!
Many blessings are headed our way; God is a loving, wonderful God!
Thank God for that!

Emergency Holiday Pep Talk
“Thanksgiving is an emotional holiday. People travel thousands of miles to be with people they only see once a year. And then discover once a year is way too often.”
Johnny Carson
Okay, so we’re nearing the official festive stress season. Everyone be blessed, breathe in, breathe out and remember that this too shall pass. Remember that little diddy, even as your family pushes that very specific, irritated last button of yours. You can do this; you can do this.
Put down the jello mold. Breathe. Walk away. Remind yourself that yes, indeed, the holidays only come once a year. It will be okay. You will be okay. Don’t panic. Happy Thanksgiving, Everyone!!!
This has been your emergency holiday pep talk. Apply as needed.

Don't Forget To Pray
"Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that you may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much."
