The Moment You Decide

Get Cape...

The Twisted Tree

"Am"/2019 NEDA Week

“…I am fearfully and wonderfully made…”

Psalm 139:14

This little two-letter word packs a big punch.

“…am…”

It cuts to the point. It’s present-tense; it already is in existence. There’s nothing more needed, no effort, no earning. It’s already decided. This is you. It speaks to your life now, regardless of what feelings and circumstances seem to be showing. “Am,” not “will be,” not “was.”

“Am.”

Bask in those two letters now.

2019 NEDA Week/"I"

“…I am fearfully and wonderfully made…”

Psalm 139:14

Let’s break this scripture down, word by word.

“…I…”

Psalm 139:14

Right off the bat, the focus hones in- “I.” Not you, not her, not him, not them. “I.” It’s personal. It’s immediate. Self. Self-concept.

How do things start with you? How do you relate to yourself? Are you removed from your body? Are you removed from value, worth, beauty, love? Or do you place your “I-self” front and center, as deserving of those things?

2019 NEDA/These six words...

These six words.

“…I am fearfully and wonderfully made…”

What do they mean to you? Can you accept them? Do you see yourself in them?

The National Eating Disorder Awareness Week kicks off and, with it, the challenge embedded within this famous scripture.

“…I am fearfully and wonderfully made…”

Psalm 139:14

Are
you? Plain and simple, are you?
