The Most High and Bubblegum

I’m back at “Miracle on 34th Street,” the Christmas classic, starring a young Natalie Wood. I love this scene in the story. For those of you who’ve seen the classic film, I don’t need to explain the significance of what happens in this “gum chewing” scene. For those who haven’t seen the film, however, please check it out. (Hint: It has to do with wishing for your dreams to come true).

In the meantime, please know that Our Father’s very capable and loving, wishing to make dreams come true.

“Trust in the LORD and do good;
   dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture.
Take delight in the LORD,
   and he will give you the desires of your heart.

Commit your way to the LORD;
   trust in him and he will do this.”

Psalm 37:3-5

Natalie’s character, Susan, here, is blowing the bubblegum, not fully aware of what is being planned in her life. How much more, then, is the Most High secretly planning for you, while you’re chewing the bubblegum of life?

Could it be that He’s going to bless you in incredible ways, even if, right now, it appears like nothing’s happening? Elohim is working on your blessings, while you chew bubblegum, do the day to day, “uneventful” stuff of life. But He has, indeed, promised to bless you!

“…Surely blessing I will bless you, and multiplying I will multiply you.”

Hebrews 6:14

So, dream big!
