Blessed are those who mourn...

A close friend of mine recently lost her fiancée. There’s nothing like an experience like that to bring vividly into picture just how real the fragility of life is for each and every single one of us, at any given moment.

Yes, we are all subject to loss; we are all grieving something: a person, a pet, a relationship, our innocence, a dream, good health. The list, unfortunately, goes on and on.

What are you grieving right now? What has caused you tears and great pain? You may think it’s too trivial, too tiny for God to be concerned about.

It’s not.

“I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.”
John 14:18

There’s a reason God speaks to our grief; He loves us.

Regardless of your life experience, even now, you are blessed and loved by God. Please don’t fight His help and comfort. He wants to help you through your loss, whatever it may be.

“Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.”
Matthew 5:4

God is thinking about you right now.
