Don’t believe the lies: Unloved, Ergo, Unacceptable

In your current state, do you feel lovable?

Feeling unloved is one of the biggest lies we can ever buy into. If we’re not careful, we can all too easily fall into the belief that because we struggle and may not conform to a certain performance or image standard, we only have the disapproval and rejection of both God and other people. It’s simply not the case. No matter what, we are loved by God. No matter how we have failed, what we look like, what we believe, who is or is not in our lives, God still passionately loves and pursues us. He’s doing so right now. Can you believe and accept it?

“The LORD hath appeared of old unto me, saying, Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee.”
Jeremiah 31:3

John 3:16 is a much quoted Bible verse, but it’s a powerful example of the lengths God will go to out of His love for you.

“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”

It doesn’t matter what’s going on in your life; nothing cancels God’s unconditional love for you. As we close this week, remember, “love never fails” (1 Corinthians 13:8).

That especially applies to how God connects to you. He is at work in your life, your recovery and your struggles. He wants to be close to you. Don’t shut Him out. Don’t believe any of the harmful lies, contrary to God’s Truth. He loves you, wants to bless, heal and help you.

Why accept any other theory?
God bless you!!! Copyright © 2012 by Sheryle Cruse
